Anyone interested in spending their Halloween making a film this year?!?
I lead an active group of filmmakers in entering a handful of 48 hour film competitions each year (the attached photo is from the recent Chicago competition), and am pulling together a team to compete in the Global Horror/Fantasy 48 Hour Film Project on Halloween weekend, October 30th-November1st.
I encourage anyone who is interested in collaborating to reach out, but we are particularly seeking a production audio person, a gaffer, and an editor. Please keep in mind that the rules for the 48 hour projects stipulate that all participation is voluntary–we are literally not allowed to pay people. This is not a "gig" but a communally creative project. We do this for fun, to test our creative endurance, and to make art in a compressed period of time.
To anyone unfamiliar with the 48 hour projects, these are competitions in which you are given a handful of elements on Friday night (genre or sub genre, line of dialogue, character name, and a prop) which you then need to transform into a finished film by Sunday night. It's fun, it's creatively demanding, and within 48 hours you have a finished film. What's there not to love???
DM me if interested. Thanks! See less
