Become an Extra – Or not?

Ever want to be on a TV show? Ever wanted to be in a movie or a commercial? Most of the jobs pay like crap; you are often treated like a substandard human, work un-Godly hours (sometimes 20 in one day), have to hike three sets of your own clothes around in a suit case; sometimes stand in the cold and rain for hours; often you don’t know where you are going at ridiculously early hours of the morning, sometimes bad neighborhoods, often not knowing where or at what time until way late the night before. However, you often eat like a pig; you make great friends and some of the last forever; you occasionally have an incredible amount of fun, and get to act like an idiot with a few hundred other idiots. Sometimes you get to dress up like a baseball player and stand in the dugout of a major league stadium; other times you are on ferry in the middle of lake Michigan with Superman. Still others, you have the occasion to almost accidentally run over Charlize Theron with your car (true story). On rare occasions you get to bump into and chat with a TV or movie star, and on those rare rare rare rare instances, you are in the right place and the right time, and get upgraded to a speaking role. Did I say rare? Unicorn rare, but it happens. If this sounds like you, visit and subscribe to http://TheActorsHole.com.
